Description: Newborn elephant gets a water bath from mom.

Story from behind the lens: Our guide estimated that this calf was only 1-2 days old. In fact, his umbilical cord was still attached. The herd kept moving along while he struggled to keep up and even to stay on his feet. Every chance he had he would try to lay down and rest only to have to jump up and keep moving. It really is amazing how newborns in the wild adapt so quickly.
