Story from behind the lens: With early morning game drives, one is always filled with such optimism to get a shot of an animal in the golden light! We spotted a large male on the horizon as the sun slowly rose. Rushing over to capture that moment, the lone lion walked past a tree which I thought was great as I was now able to get a shot of him without losing that moment to the sun's glare. This cold Mara morning created the opportune moment to capture the 'fire breather'.
