Description: Oust from the pride: A fully grown male lion ousts a younger sub-adult lion in a full display of power - though the sub-adult nearly matched his strength.

Story from behind the lens: Our guide brought us to a sub-adult lion by a watering hole where, within minutes the older male of the pride roared out some nearby bushes and began the ousting of the sub adult lion from the pride. The young male put up a great fight but in the end failed to keep up. I knew there would be a fight and wanted to convey the strength of the paws and claws and the capture of the one claw post punch really set the scene.
