Description: Cheetah and four young cubs in the Maasai Mara

Story from behind the lens: In the Mara, September 2023. Our guides knew where to take us. We were excited to find the cheetah mom with her young cubs. The cubs were having fun running around mostly playing. However, the mom was always on the watch for them. It was late afternoon as we observed them for about an hour or so before the ranger requested everyone to leave so she could hunt. There were way too many safari vehicles chasing the cheetah family to get their pictures.
