Description: A curious calf is kept in close quarters by her Mom

Story from behind the lens: Watching a herd of elephant with multiple babies is always a delight. The youngster in this image was so sweet and stayed near Mom while stealing looks at the strange vehicle sitting nearby. It wasn't easy to get a shot of just the calf and her mom, but as they moved into an area with a nice grassy background, I took my chances. Their close relationship is seen with Mom's trunk tucked around the baby. I was able to obtain several shots of this pair but this one is my favorite.
