Description: The Marsh pride taking on a young hippo they literally stumbled over

Story from behind the lens: The last stop at the end of the day to take a photo of the Marsh Pride. As we were just about to leave they stumbled upon a young hippo hiding in the marsh. The first couple of lions had already walked by before the hippo poked its head out of the rushes . The young hippo climbed up onto dry ground and in a blink the lions were on him . Even though it was only a young hippo the respect the lions gave it said it all. Let the battle begin.
