Description: One of the most elusive leopards of the Mara, Bella 2, showing off her beauty while sitting on a little mound.

Story from behind the lens: On our recent morning safari, we got news that a leopard was spotted in Rekero area. We started making our way towards where the leopard was spotted but by the time we got there, she was already hiding inside a thicket. We decided to wait for her, we knew that as soon as it gets cooler, she would come out. It was one of the hottest days in the Mara. After 4 hours of waiting, just when it got a little cloudy she finally decided to come out and headed straight towards this mound. She sat there for good 10 minutes, posing and scanning the area. Bella 2 is known to one of the shy leopards. She even growled at a car that arrived after us. She then got down from the mound, marked a few trees with her scent and disappeared into another thicket.
