Description: The lonely lioness up a tree
Story from behind the lens: In the Maasai Mara, Kenya, I remember this scene so clearly. We were driving one afternoon looking for leopard and from a distance, I saw a shape move in the tree and thought to myself - Finally we found one. Upon getting a bit closer I noticed that the body shape was slightly different. Only when we got close did I realise that actually it was a lioness on the tree. We waited for a few hours until the lioness first walked up the tree and then finally down. I was waiting for her to come into that gap between the leaves and when she did, I had a big smile on my face as I clicked a couple of frames!
