Story from behind the lens: As the sun started to set we happened upon a solitary elephant who paused long enough to focus his gaze upon our safari vehicle. The sun caught his golden eye at the precise moment that I depressed the shutter. Looking through the viewfinder of the camera, I could almost feel the hundreds of years of his memories - memories of births, deaths, rains, sunrises and sunsets, pains and joys - captured in his stare. It was a humbling and majestic experience.
