Description: With the first rain coming down after a long time this elephant got really excited and sat and turned in the muddy ditch along the road.
Story from behind the lens: Our guide Fred (Ocampo) might not have expected the two guys from Europe wanting to ride out during the storm on 06 September - and at some points we all thought it might have been better to stay in the Angama Mara lodge for this rainy afternoon.
Now, thanks to Ocampo's nerves of steel we made it all the way down into the Mara and got rewarded by a group of elephants enjoying the rain and the fresh mud. The dark and wet bodies of the elephants agains the light required some additional brightness when taking the picture - and it remains grainy with all the rain coming down.
