Description: Mother cheetah wrestled by cub

Story from behind the lens: Cheetah super-mom "Nashipae" and her four rambunctious cubs were a frequent sighting on my last safari in the Mara. During one extended sighting, I watched as the cubs played amongst themselves while Nashipae attempted to nap. Eventually their attention turned to her and she became the target and involuntary play-thing, with one cub after another 'piling on'. I caught this moment as one cub somersaulted around her neck. Whether weary or patient, Nashipae just let them play, exhibiting the extreme patience of any good mom.
