Description: A black winged Kite with rodent kill

Story from behind the lens: Whilst searching of Natito & her cub one afternoon my guide David spotted this Black Winged Kite on the branch of a tree. I had never seen this bird before so decided to move a little closer & that’s when we saw that it had a rodent kill. As it was feeding we were able to stay on this sighting for a while, edging closer & trying different positions. I over exposed for the sky taking care not blow any highlights as I went for a high key approach. I liked this framing of some of the kill in the kite’s mouth whilst you are also able to see its striking red eye.
