Stay at Angama Mara
An owner-run safari lodge inspired by the Swahili word for ‘suspended in mid-air’, Angama Mara is located on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, with jaw-dropping views over the Maasai Mara below.
With no set program, each day is planned around what guests would like to do: a perfect Mara day starts with waking to hot air balloons floating past your tent’s window; a full day on safari, complete with picnic stop in the middle of nowhere; and ends with the setting sun, shared in a boma in the company of Maasai warriors.
The tented suites hang off the edge of the Great Rift Valley, offering supreme comfort and breathtaking views of the Mara below and beyond. Guests choose to dine in the privacy of their tents, in the lovely guest areas, or enjoy picnics in the Mara under a solitary fig tree and BBQ dinners in a candle-lit forest.
Most memorable of all is the warm and charming service offered by a proudly Kenyan team – always the highlight of any guest’s stay.
*Accommodation at Angama Mara is subject to availability and valid for travel through 2022. No block-out dates apply
