Known in the Mara as "the white masai", Heidi has been a wildlife photographer and writer for 17 years. Her writing and photographs capture the everyday life of the wildlife, the brutal to the beautiful and she enjoys writing the story behind each photo to inspire people to come to the Mara and see for themselves the wildlife living free. Heidi's greatest moment in the Mara was watching a sunset when a majestic male lion from the Cheli pride came walking out of the long grass soon followed by young cubs who starting playing with their father - he was playful, protective and patient. They were then joined by three lionesses with an Impala kill and they enjoyed the feast together. I sat for many hours as the sun lit their golden fur photographing and writing about this pride.
