Story from behind the lens: During an early morning game drive, we spotted this male lion laying down on the grass not too far from the main road. He got his head up and roared sending shivers down our spines. He then suddenly got up and started walking. Our guide expertly followed him and got our car in a perfect position to get some shots of this lion on his morning patrol. I was hoping he would look at the camera so I could get his eyes in the shot and thankfully, he did.
