Description: A small young lion cub and his even smaller friend are diminutive next to Mom.
Story from behind the lens: I took this image from my safari vehicle using my longest lens so as to not disrupt the lioness nor her nearby cubs. This little one was more adventurous than the his siblings and was exploring the immediate area. All of a sudden, he rested his head down on a rock pillow as if he was too tired to move another inch. Mom's tail next to him provided a sense of scale illustrating how much more growing was ahead of him. And the small insect, who was resting on the cub's head, seemed like the perfect punctuation point for the scene.
