Story from behind the lens: We had arrived in Masai Mara just a few hours earlier. Our guide took us on an afternoon ride, and we were hoping to get a glimpse of the amazing place we were going to spend the week ahead. What we saw, however, was much more than just a "glimpse" - it was something spectacular: a pride with three lionesses and their cubs were protecting (and of course, eating) a whole buffalo. The cubs bellies were almost touching the grass as they enjoyed the end of that day.
