Description: A female Leopard hides itself successfully and leaps from the ground to grab the mouth of the Impala to deliver a death blow.
Story from behind the lens: When we reached the scene of the sighting, we knew there was a Leopard concealed somewhere stalking the lone Impala. However, we could not see the Leopard and hence didn't know its exact position. We tried to communicate with our other vehicle that informed us of the Leopard's presence, but in the interest of not distracting the Leopard, we stayed silent and communicated only through signs. So I really could not pin point the Leopard's location and had to keep my eyes and senses wide open so that I didn't miss photographing any of the initial action. That was the biggest challenge as a photographer here - to accurately anticipate the position of the Leopard and be ready to capture the action.
