Description: On our last morning, we greeted the day by tracking this beautiful male lion as he walked in the grass as the sun rose. There was such confidence, strength and elegance in the way that he moved.
Story from behind the lens: The sun had not yet risen when we started tracking this beauty and I was using a wide aperture to soften the grass. When I pointed the camera toward the sun, I should have changed settings because I certainly didn't need 1/8000 speed! But I wasn't nimble enough and despite the crazy settings, I think the image came out fine. The lion went on to watch the hot air balloons and continue his elegant strut through the plains.
