Description: Young elephant playing in the mud

Story from behind the lens: We had set out that morning hoping to find the Marsh Pride but, as often happens on a game drive, you don't find what you set out upon but instead found something different. On this day, that would be elephants. But, hope springs eternal and while waiting at one of the water holes that the Marsh Pride frequents, a herd of elephants came through and in the herd were a couple of young elephants with a very playful streak. In short order, the two "kids" found a mud puddle and proceeded to roll, splash and shower each other and themselves with mud. I was able to capture this image mid-spray and I was drawn to, what appears to be a look of unbridled joy on this baby's face.
