Description: A young Masai blows through a kudu horn, an ancient method of communication between villages

Story from behind the lens: On a recent trip to a Masai village we were treated to the full traditional history of their culture. As well as seeing their usual dances and methods for fire starting, the most interesting of them all was the way they blew through a hole in a kudu horn to communicate.
