Description: Early morning and the light was beautiful, diffused by recent rainfall. We saw a herd of elephants grazing peacefully.
Story from behind the lens: I love to get images of animals in their environment and these giants of the Mara against the backdrop of the spectacular Oloololo Escarpment really shows the bigger picture. Usually I would want the elephants placed against the big skies that the Mara is known for but I couldn't resist the imposing landscape instead - this towering ridge sweeps down to the grasslands, seeming to dwarf these African giants.
