Description: Three lionesses from the Topi pride

Story from behind the lens: We had been watching the Topi pride for most of the day hoping they would hunt, but they just didn't seem hungry. Late in the afternoon some storms passed by giving way to some nice light and sky as they drifted off into the distance. At that point these three lionesses came together on a mound and I took the shot. I like that they are all looking in different directions and that they all have their mouths partly open, exposing their canines. The flies and the stormy background add to the scene
