Description: Lions vs Hyenas

Story from behind the lens: In the early morning hours we saw a hyena giving chase to a wildebeest so we took off in pursuit. When we arrived the hyena had its jaws on the wildebeest's hind leg and a second hyena had just arrived as backup. In a matter of minutes the two had taken down the wildebeest and many more hyenas had descended upon the scene. In the chaos jackals and vultures had arrived in anticipation of a quick meal. On the horizon two female lions began running in towards the kill and quick scattered everything from the carcass. The hyenas began to try to feed along side one of the lions and for a brief moment they did. After a few more hyenas came in they began to nip at the lion to chase her off and we ultimately successful in recapturing their kill.
