Story from behind the lens: The day began by following Kisaru and her two cubs. After they attempted to make a kill but missed they lay low under the shade of a tree looking for another opportunity…. Little did they realize that they had rested no further than 200m away from the mother giraffe giving birth. Thankfully the mother giraffe gave birth peacefully and for her baby to start taking its first few steps. No later than 2hrs after the birth, Kisaru spotted the baby giraffe!! The mother giraffe saw the cheetahs approaching and slowly started ushering baby to the safety of bushes close by. Kisaru made her attempt on a tall order that day.
