Description: Beautiful sunset with a giraffe bending over to create a frame around the sun
Story from behind the lens: This day the skies were beautiful the entire afternoon. We were practicing to make silhouettes against the skies, when we noticed a group of giraffes eating from a tree. We parked our car at quite a distance, to wait until we could get nice silhouettes. The giraffes stayed very close to the tree, making it hard to see a nice silhouette from them. Until the sun was almost down, and one of the giraffes decided to move away from the tree and try out some grass. This presented the possibility to try an amazing shot when the sun was behind the giraffe, and the body of the giraffe created a frame around the sun. It took a lot of patience and some luck to get the shot, but it was worth every second, not to mention witnessing such an amazing sunset.
PS: We stayed at Mara Olapa Camp, but I was not able to see that in the drop down menu. Maybe I missed it.
