Story from behind the lens: Peering into bushes and trees, searching for the elusive leopard, we were finally rewarded on our second day at Kicheche Bush Camp. In one particular bush, this female leopard had woken from her afternoon nap and was preparing to look for a new place to rest. Slinking out of her bush, she snaked her way through the underbrush, searching for a suitable branch. Following her progress intently, we tried to stay one step ahead, positioning ourselves strategically. This plan paid off, yielding this shot of her locking eyes with the camera.
