Story from behind the lens: While the sun starts to set it is impossible not to dream to capture the perfect moment as the transition into nightfall begins. As a photographer you want to have to ready yourself and wait for the best opportunity that nature has to offer your way. We were looking for a male lion or a rhino as the sunset was turning out to be of beautiful shades and gorgeous skies, we looked in vain but we couldn't find anything to shoot with, the thrill and excitement was quickly looking to disappear as the light started to become challenging that is when my guide spotted this beautiful balanite tree with the lush mara plains as a backdrop. We quickly had to position ourselves onto a good spot and capture this gorgeous frame. I cannot describe the emotions African sunsets create, if you want to see magic, it has got to be in Africa.
