Description: A lone lioness emerges from a dense fog
Story from behind the lens: It was a cold chilly morning in the Mara and the plains were covered in a dense fog. A few cars had stopped where a hippo lay in a muddy pool. Visibility was poor and we could barely see past a few meters. Then out of nowhere, a lone lioness from the Rekero pride emerged stealthily from the murky fog – it was surreal. She proceeded to check her surroundings before stepping into the murky pool for a bite of the hippo for breakfast.
