Story from behind the lens: I was on my final game drive in the Mara - which always creates an unsettling feeling - not looking forward to going back to Nairobi. We drove around the conservancy under overcast weather when the rain started. I was looking to photograph a subject in the rain when this beautiful lioness appeared next to a croton bush. She lied down on some rocks seemingly to enjoy the gentle drizzle, as I enjoyed watching her, taking it all in before we headed back to Nairobi.
