Description: Male cheetah taking a break from eating to keep watch

Story from behind the lens: The two cheetah brothers had crossed into the Mara North Conservancy the same day and we knew they were likely to hunt on that day. Unfortunately we missed the hunt itself, but was able to catch the cheetahs with their newly killed wildebeest. The brothers took turns eating while the other one was keeping watch; there was a hyena and jackal very close by. I was laying down in the vehicle with the door open when this cheetah took a break from eating to check me out.
