Description: Rekero Pride on Dead Hippo

Story from behind the lens: A dramatic misty morning with the Rekero pride who had been feasting on a hippo the previous night. The hippo had been injured in a territorial fight with another and sought refuge in a mud pool the day before. We left the hyenas nibbling on him in the evening and at the night the lions took over leaving twenty plus hyenas waiting for their fill. Quite a muddy affair with the ongoing long rains in May.
