Description: Mother Topi fights with Cheetah and rescues her new born from the jaws of certain death.

Story from behind the lens: Mbili Bora, were on hunt and sighted a Topi with her new born. Mother was fast and outclassed the Cheetah duo, but her baby was not and one of the cheetah grabbed it. Seeing this, mother came to the rescue of her baby fully aware that in the process she herself might be killed. But she was determined and freed its baby from the jaws of one cheetah. Baby ran for life but soon another cheetah grabbed it. Mother again came to the rescue and not only freed her baby from the jaws of certain death but fought vehemently with both male cheetah till her baby ran away and was out of the reach of cheetahs. This photograph is when mother freed her baby from the second cheetah. While I was shooting stills of this event, my wife Sonali made a video of it and I posted it on YouTube https://youtu.be/WQfskSaXbjY?si=80s7knsuEVBacxsp
