Story from behind the lens: Driving through the Mara we can across this hyena backlit by the morning sun. Hyenas are very much misunderstood and are often thought of as scavengers when they are very intelligent and cunning animals. I find them fascinating and actually enjoy photographing them, especially when I have such beautiful light.
