Description: A large male lion patrols his territory after detecting interlopers in his territory.

Story from behind the lens: We had heard lions roaring all night in camp, and getting up early next morning it was determined that unknown male lions had passed by camp during the night. The local pride males were extremely agitated during the morning, patrolling their territory with great intent. This one male lion felt that he detected something and headed off with a purpose; the anger in his eyes is clear for all to see. Luckily for the other males they had already moved off, and so he did not find a target to focus on.
