Story from behind the lens: A mature buffalo found himself stuck in a very compromising situation - literally! The Mara at that point in time was dry and water hard to find and can only assume that the buffalo, driven by thirst had gone to find water only to get stuck in the mud. It wasn't very long until a young pride of lions gathered around, taking full advantage of the opportunity they lay before them.
