Description: A young cheetah standing on top of a termite mound.

Story from behind the lens: It was a lovely day in the Masai Mara when we came upon a mother cheetah and her three beautiful cubs. They were very playful and this little one peered over the top of the termite mound in typical cheetah fashion to get a better view of his surroundings. I was very excited to see them as I know that they are listed as vunerable and so it was a wonderful moment to see these little ones enjoying themselves. Cheetah are one of my favourite big cats as their lives hang in the balance and they face many obstacles so my hopes are that these little ones survive to adulthood .
