Story from behind the lens: The competition for a vigilant impala, started off on a sunny March morning in the Masai Mara National Reserve. One Lioness and one Hyena competing for an Impala. The lioness had four more Lioness behind her a few feet away waiting to assist, and the Hyena had three Hyenas behind waiting to assist. The Hyena won the prey and walked away to enjoy the Impala on its own, in peace. Immediately, the three other Hyenas who had been lurking in the background of vicious scene attacked on the Hyena that had won the prey. This picture was taken when the four Hyenas were fighting over the Impala making their holt-laugh. After the picture had been taken three more Hyenas joined in fighting for the Impala. Eventually, the Hyenas ate the Impala as a group hooting and giggling as a group.
