Story from behind the lens: We began our morning drive in the dark and as the sun started to rise, we came across this lone lion relaxing. We positioned the vehicle so that I could capture the lion using backlighting, while also capturing the plains of the Mara behind him. He looked right into my camera as if to say "good morning". What a way to begin the day.
