Description: Lion drinking with reflection while locking eyes with the viewer

Story from behind the lens: It was late afternoon and starting to cool down. Some sleeping lions were beginning to make signs of moving and we guessed they might want to drink. We therefore positioned ourselves on the other side of a waterhole, hoping the lions would come to to drink with the last of the light in their faces and cast a perfect reflection. It is great when a plan comes together and one of the male lions did come down to drink - and in the course of doing so locked eyes with us. We knew that was the shot.
