Description: A Few lions from the Topi Pride feasting on a Hippo Carcass

Story from behind the lens: We followed the Topi pride for a few days and learned that most males are injured and the females have cubs. With the pride losing two newborns a day ago, they can risk hunting again. This Hippo Carcass has come as an easy meal for the pride, but the pond was risky for the cubs with a decent population of crocodiles. This picture was clicked when a Male Lion was checking on the crocodiles while the other males tried pulling the hippo to a safe place for the family to feast on. This picture depicts that life isn't easy in the wild for both the prey and the predator.
