Description: Slow Pan Male Lion
Story from behind the lens: We had seen this wonderful male lion several times during our morning and afternoon game drives, and he had been solidly asleep under the same bush all day. Then, when it was almost dark, and we were about to head off for camp, he suddenly set off with a purposeful stride and a steely-eyed focus. We followed him through the tall grass until he reached the reason for this sudden burst of activity, the pride. After a quick check that all was well, he went back to sleeping under a bush!
