Description: A young cub drinks from a puddle of water after a big storm in the Mara

Story from behind the lens: Just as we located the Enkoyanai pride one afternoon, a huge storm hit the Mara lasting well over an hour. The lions huddled under bushes waiting for the storm to pass. When it eventually did they gathered together in the open ti try & dry themselves a little & one of the cubs also took the opportunity to drink from the huge puddles of water left in the road. The strong eye contact from the cub adds a layer of intimacy.
