Story from behind the lens: A long day on our game drive was coming to an end when we came across this lion lying in the grass. We stoped to watch him and within of a few minutes of our arrival, he rose and went into a what looked like a downward dog yoga stretch. The look on his face was one of pure relaxation. You can see that he has an injury on his face that looks recent, so it must have been a tough day.
