Description: We risked everything to get to the far side of the river to see the crossing head on, and luckily we made it in time to witness the herd thundering dramatically down this narrow chute.
Story from behind the lens: This was one of the highlights of our trip and our last morning in the Mara. Our group was willing to risk not seeing the crossing at all so that we could get a better view as it appeared the light and perspective would be far better from the other side of the river. Luckily the herd held off crossing until we had made it to the other side and were able to get some very dramatic images.
