Story from behind the lens: This photo was taken on our last day in the Maasai Mara, our last day in Kenya as well. She was the last of the Big 5 we had spotted on our safari. We were so excited when we finally approached her. She was confident and strong as she protected her kill high in the tree watching those who were watching her; her green eyes piercing mine. Clothed in strength, she was not bothered by us or those around. A perfect ending to a perfect day.
