Story from behind the lens: In the late morning in the Mara, our group spotted a lioness tucked away in the corner of a few trees not far from Ngare Serian. As we slowly approached, she sat up and revealed her two little cubs. As the mother lay back down in the shade one cub stayed by her, and the other slowly stepped out into the sunlight and right into my shot. It took a moment to lock eyes with us and went back to nap on it’s mother back.
