Description: Herd of elephants walking across the broad sunlit plains of the Mara

Story from behind the lens: As the day progressed, the clouds started to build and dappled sunlight spread across the green and yellow grass. In the distance we could see that a large herd of elephants was moving towards us. So, we positioned the Rover and waited. As they moved closer, pausing, eating and fanning their ears, you could feel the ground began to tremble ever so slightly. At the moment that I captured this image, the sun had just broken through the clouds and painted the elephants and the grasses with a wonderful golden light. At that moment, I couldn't help but feel as if they were being called home.
