Description: The oxpeckers search the buffalo for food such as maggots and other parasites that have nested in the fur or in wounds.

Story from behind the lens: It is both a curse and a blessing for the buffalo. On the one hand the oxpeckers remove the parasites from the fur and the wounds, on the other hand the wounds are opened again and again and thus heal less well.
