Description: One of three playful young lion cubs decices to take a leap from a termite mound onto mom's back.

Story from behind the lens: Our first evening in the Mara this year was spent with the Rekero pride. The light was soft and rain occasionally falling as we alternated between watching the lioness and cubs and the three beautiful males. The cubs were active and playing on and around a termite mound, allowing us to capture many great images. My favorite though was this moment when one cub decided to use the mound to leap onto his mother's back. I just can't get enough of lion cubs.
